The UDA Soccer Academy expanded to the University of Gloucestershire out of the success and demand for our UDA Soccer Academy at the University of Chester. UDA Soccer was created because we are passionate about soccer and we understand the value of a post-secondary education firsthand.
We are educators, coaches, & parents and we built the UDA Soccer Academy from the ground up to support you as a student and as an athlete, with the ultimate goal of developing you as an impactful, global citizen.
The Men’s Soccer Academy at the University of Gloucestershire offers year round playing and is partnered with professional club Gloucester City AFC representing their U21 Gloucester City AFC team in the U21 Midland
League GCAFC.
In addition, games against selected youth academy teams as well as university teams are scheduled. Our student-athletes train and play their games at TigerTurf Stadium, Gloucester City AFC.

The UDA programme offers the opportunity to be trained by professional, UEFA "A" licensed coaches with year-round playing in a competitive schedule of games for your development. Additionally, the programme gives you exposure to professional visiting coaches from English leagues to help you further develop and reach your optimal playing potential.
The programme is designed to match top level European development academies that offer a balance of training to game ratios and have produced top players in Europe. The focus is on your development as a player, a person, and a future graduate with multiple pathways into the game.

Our select academy players have the opportunity to attend and compete in showcase events in the UK and the US.

This means you can complete a degree in three years! Your UK degree is set up to help you gain real-world, hands-on experience sooner than your peers with no gen-ed requirements to fulfill. In addition to completing your degree in three years, the passage of the Graduate Extension Scheme allows those obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree eligible to apply for a two-year work visa upon graduation, allowing you to seek opportunities in the UK.

The UDA FOUR PART DEVELOPMENT MODEL
The "total player development model" at UOG utilizes the Soccer Association “Four Corners” approach that focuses on the development of players around the pillars of Tactical/Technical, Physical, Psychological and Social development.
These pillars at UOG are developed working within the three specific parts of the game; when in possession, when out of position and when transition occurs within the game.
